# Settings

The `/settings` command opens the main menu where you can quickly configure server-specific VoiceStats preferences directly within Discord. Select a category from the dropdown menu to view or change it.

The same settings are available from the [VoiceStats Dashboard](https://voicestats.xyz/dashboard). The Dashboard section of this documentation contains the detailed guides for each category.

## Filters

#### [**Dashboard Filters**](/dashboard/manage-server/filters/)

The Dashboard brings every activity filter together on one page:

* [**Member Filter**](/dashboard/manage-server/filters/#member-filter) excludes specific members from voice and message statistics tracking.
* [**Channel Filter**](/dashboard/manage-server/filters/#channel-filter) excludes individual voice or text channels, or every supported channel in a Discord category.
* [**Role Filter**](/dashboard/manage-server/filters/#role-filter) prevents new activity from being recorded for members with selected roles.
* [**Bot Filter**](/dashboard/manage-server/filters/#bot-filter) controls whether other bots are included in voice-time and message statistics.

## General

#### [**Server Language**](/dashboard/manage-server/settings/)

Sets the shared language used by VoiceStats modules, including dashboard-created giveaways, Role Rewards, and Pin Leaderboard.

#### [**Ranking Visibility**](/dashboard/manage-server/settings/#visibility)

Controls whether filtered members and channels are visually hidden from leaderboards and statistics displays.

#### [**Deleted Channels**](/dashboard/manage-server/settings/#visibility)

Determines whether voice channels that have been deleted from Discord — but still have historical statistics — are shown in channel rankings and member channel breakdowns.

## Stats

#### [**Time Units**](/dashboard/manage-server/settings/#time-units)

Allows you to adjust the time format (Full format, hours, days, etc.) displayed in the statistics to best suit your community.

#### [**Time Zone**](/dashboard/manage-server/settings/#timezone)

Ensures that daily statistics and charts are synchronized with your server's local time zone.

#### [**Stats Period**](/dashboard/manage-server/settings/#periods)

Allows you to define the default time range (e.g., Last 14 days, Last 30 days) displayed in statistics commands.

#### [**Chart Period**](/dashboard/manage-server/settings/#periods)

Allows you to define the default time range used in chart commands.

## Modules

Role Rewards, Achievements, Web Leaderboard, and Pin Leaderboard appear in the bot's `/settings` menu so you can quickly learn what each module does. These modules are managed from the Dashboard. Opening one of them shows a direct Dashboard link and an **Open Dashboard** button for its setup page.
